OBJECTIVES:

  • To maintain awareness of the product
  • To engage with new readers via the mobile platform

CREATIVE SOLUTION:

The quiz app for Nokia Lumia was created to promote readership of the magazine. 10 questions against the clock. Based on New Scientist content. Updated weekly. Post your scores to see how you compare to other players. The answers to the questions can be found in the magazine. By reading it, you will ensure higher scores

Marketing elements:

  • Fast paced – The app is timed – answering questions under pressure
  • Education – tough questions, users learn from playing, updated weekly
  • Competition – Going head-to-head with the smartest New Scientist readers

RESULTS:

  • Over 3,000 downloads in the week to launch
